First Date Night as Husband and Wife

This past Saturday night was our first night out on a date as husband and wife. What made it even more fun is that it was a triple date with other married couples who happened to be two of Dan’s co-workers and their wives. I was a little apprehensive at first because I didn’t know any of the others but I clicked really well with all of them!

We started out the evening trying out the restaurant Bangkok Sushi, a Thai/Sushi restaurant off of 54. The appetizers were really good and everyone enjoyed their dinner….except for me. The Lobster Salad Roll sounded really good on the menu but a few bites made me realize that I was not a fan! Next we went over to International Beer Garten and enjoyed some drinks and played one of the board games they had there at the bar (FACT or CRAP!) Of course I lost big time because I thought most of what was said was CRAP. Lol! All in all it was a wonderful evening making new friends and spending it with my husband. J We are planning another outing in the near future with the same group and can’t wait!

Laughed So Hard Our Sides Hurt!

So this one is a bit of a fun post. It is the picture story of what happened last night.... Dan and I decided to be a little playful on Facebook and post a picture of Scott (Dan's brother) as a homeless man. (The reason why we call Scott my Ho-bro is because I thought he was a homeless man when I first met him almost 9 years ago. He was covered in paint and dirt from working all day so I couldn't help think that when I have never seen the man before. The funny part is that he even mentioned the story in his best man speech at our wedding!) So to pay tribute to Ho-bro I posted this....

And then Dan thought it would be funny to get his good friend/groomsman Ron in on it so he posted this saying that this was the ninja who took Ho-bro's family....

Then Ron got in on it and posted these....

Dan and I wanted to keep the laughter rolling and continued by titling this one "Ron Spring Break 98"....

Too funny, right? Dan and I were rolling as these pictures appeared within the hour. Scott and Ron were laughing as well because the text messages and phone calls were going around with laughter! All in all this was in good fun and created a night where I laughed so hard I was in tears and my sides hurt. It made me realize that laughter is ALWAYS the best medicine to brighten up your day.

Finding Wonderland

Yesterday Dan and I treated ourselves to an afternoon of theater to watch the final pre-Broadway Tampa performance of Wonderland. It was exciting to see a musical with the original cast that will be premiering on Broadway within a few months! The story was fantastic and we both loved the sets and how colorful the characters were. Even prior to the show we received some entertainment from the images that were on the backdrop. It looked like a page in a storybook and the images were drawn right onto it! Well I am going to stop here and be hush hush so I don't give away any of the play. I feel everyone should descend down the rabbit hole themselves! I will say that it was a nice magical get away! As Alice said to the Tampa crowd at the end of the performance “You can always find Wonderland in Manhattan on the corner of 45th and Broadway!” J

The stage! (I didn't take any of the other colorful sets because I don't want to spoil anything!)

The Beginning

I am married woman! That is something I have wanted to say for quite some time now. About a month ago I married my best friend Daniel and we had a wedding that was the stuff made of dreams. It was romantic, breathtaking and a day we both will never forget. Now we are newlyweds and we couldn’t be happier!

I decided to start this blog to capture the moments as we continue our journey through life as husband and wife. It will be our record of all the good and the bad things our family experiences. We have a lot planned for our future so be prepared for more stuff to come!
